Mid-Senior Corporate Accountant

Are you qualified/ newly qualified or qualified by experience? Are you dynamic, easy going and ready for a challenge? We are looking for an Accountant to join our team of a fast-growing boutique accountancy practice based in the city of London, specialising in the film, media and entertainment industry.

The role will involve:

• Review bookkeeping entries in various accounts softwares
• Review TB and the reconciliations of all control accounts
• Preparation of profit & loss reports and trial balance for both year-end and management accounts
• Presentation of periodic management accounts to stakeholders and directors
• Preparing statutory accounts and tax computations
• Preparing / reviewing VAT Returns
• Assisting/ training junior staff / bookkeepers
• Managing one direct report – payroll officer

Desired person specification:

• At least 3 years UK experience within an accountancy practice (preparing SME accounts, minimum semi-senior level)
• Used to reviewing, correcting and giving feedback to those you manage
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• Knowledge of Quickbooks online, Xero, Taxcalc and Microsoft package
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with clients
• Experience of supervising a small payroll team
• Must have right to reside and work in the UK
• Interest in film, TV, entertainment
