Production Accountant
Are you qualified/ newly qualified or qualified by experience? Are you dynamic, easy going and ready for a challenge? We are looking for a Production Accountant to join our team of a fast-growing boutique accountancy practice based in the city of London, specialising in the film, media and entertainment industry.
The role will involve:
- Working alongside production managers and line producers to manage all aspects of budget for the duration of the production
- Manage relationship with Line Producer and Production Managers
- Prepare cash flows across different currencies
- Forecast, plan and reporting of production spend throughout the lifecycle of the productions
- Regular cost reports to advise on any cost reductions, overages or utilisation of funds
- Process tax credits
- Challenge actual and potential variance to budget
- Prepare any required statutory accounts/legal reports
- Manage a small team through the duration of the production (1-2 individuals)
Desired person specification:
- Previous experience of working as a Production Accountant or First Assistant Accountant
- Ability to work to crew schedules (10-11 hour days)
- Used to reviewing, correcting and giving feedback to those you manage
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Knowledge of software – Moneypenny, Eclipse, Movie Magic
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with clients
- Must have right to reside and work in the UK
- Interest in film, TV, entertainment

- Based in central London (London Bridge / Borough)
- Growing training practice (currently 30 staff)
- Office based (1 day/week WFH available) – or on-site for the duration of the production
