Production Accountant

Are you qualified/ newly qualified or qualified by experience? Are you dynamic, easy going and ready for a challenge? We are looking for a Production Accountant to join our team of a fast-growing boutique accountancy practice based in the city of London, specialising in the film, media and entertainment industry.

The role will involve:

• Working alongside production managers and line producers to manage all aspects of budget for the duration of the production
• Manage relationship with Line Producer and Production Managers
• Prepare cash flows across different currencies
• Forecast, plan and reporting of production spend throughout the lifecycle of the productions
• Regular cost reports to advise on any cost reductions, overages or utilisation of funds
• Process tax credits
• Challenge actual and potential variance to budget
• Prepare any required statutory accounts/legal reports
• Manage a small team through the duration of the production (1-2 individuals)

Desired person specification:

• Previous experience of working as a Production Accountant or First Assistant Accountant
• Ability to work to crew schedules (10-11 hour days)
• Used to reviewing, correcting and giving feedback to those you manage
• Strong bookkeeping skills
• Knowledge of software – Moneypenny, Eclipse, Movie Magic
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Able to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop working relationships with clients
• Must have right to reside and work in the UK
• Interest in film, TV, entertainment

• Based in central London (London Bridge / Borough)
• Growing training practice (currently 30 staff)
• Office based (1 day/week WFH available) – or on-site for the duration of the production
